Legs in agony

Jan 22nd, 2010 | By Kev | Category: Kev's Training

I am near the end of the 3rd week of the TCTP and my legs are aching.  Every time you feel you are making  a break through it seems to ramp up a small notch.  With everything at a high intensity the small notch hurts.

Last night I could hardly get to sleep as my quads were just in continual pain.  Just about eased off today on the rest day but more max Power Internals tomorrow.  Can’t wait!!

  1. Hi Kev

I too am doing the Etape this year and I have also gotten hold of the TCTP. I must say, I found the book itself quite useful and I’ve certainly bought into the whole idea of high intensity workouts for those of us who are time challenged.

As a newcomer to all this, I’ve gone for the “New Century” plan - but it seems to be working well so far. Once the 12 weeks are over I’ll start heading into the countryside for some epic rides, but for now I’m happy to shelter in the warmth of my flat and hit the turbo.

All the best for the training.

  2. Hi Dan

Good Luck with the Etape it’s a great day out. maybe not at the time but thinking back :-)
Remember to get the long rides in as well

  3. Hi Kevin,

it’s nice to hear you’re enjoying and experiencing results from the TCP. I am training for the Etape as well and am currently wrapping up week 4 of the TCP. Just curious what kind of training you have in store for the weeks following the conclusion of the TCP then leading up to July? Enjoy the ride!

    Cheers,
    Mike
